As some of you may recall, my friend Shawn, who lives in Hawaii, is currently battling breast cancer. After 6 rounds of chemotherapy & surgery, she is now ready to move on to the next phase of treatment, which unfortunately still includes radiation & maintenance infusions due to active cancer cells in the shrunken tumor.
 
Shawn is currently unable to work, and as you might imagine, living in Hawaii is not inexpensive. To help cover her daily living expenses, I have designed and printed these art prints, titled "Maluhia For Shawn". 
 
This piece is inspired by the backyard of the incredible property we stayed at on the North Shore when we visited Shawn for her 40th birthday in 2022. The Hawaiian word "Maluhia" can be defined as "peace, quiet, security, tranquillity, serenity". This property encompassed all of that, and my hope is that together we can help Shawn find some Maluhia as well.
